The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2014 exam date is approaching; May 11, 2014. As CLAT 2014 scores are used for admission to India's premier Law Institutes (including the National Law Institutes) in undergraduate (LL.B) and postgraduate (LL.M) law degree courses its important to start studying! Here is a guide to the exam paper pattern.
For LL.B
The examination will consist of 200 multiple choice questions for one mark each for a total of 200 marks. The exam is to be completed in 2 hours. Negative marking will be applicable.
Topics are:
English including Comprehension (40 Marks)
General Knowledge and Current Affairs (50 Marks)
Elementary Mathematics - Numerical Ability (20 Marks)
Legal Aptitude (50 Marks)
Logical Reasoning (40 Marks)
For LL.M
The examination has maximum marks of 150 and is to be completed in two hours, with negative marking applicable.
The exam will have two sections:
Long Essay Type Descriptive Questions for 100 Marks (4 questions of 25 marks each) based on subjects such as Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence.
Multiple-Choice Questions for 50 Marks (50 questions of 1 mark each) on BCI prescribed subjects for LLB course (excluding Constitutional Law and Jurisprudence)
