The SSC exam results announced online on Tuesday saw the state record its highest success rate in at least four years. Maharashtra registered a pass percentage of 81.8% while the Mumbai division's pass percentage stood at 83%, up by 4% as compared to last year.
A total of 17,18,292 students appeared for the SSC examination conducted in March 2014 by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Of these, 14,04,722 passed the exam.
More students scored above 90% — 11,509 as against 9,500 in 2013 in the Mumbai region and 40,797 in the state as compared to last year's 31,093.
