Board of Secondary Education, Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE) is a board of school education in Madhya Pradesh State of India.


The MPBSE is a Madhya Pradesh government body responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and intellectual direction of the state's higher educational system. MPBSE conducts High School Certificate Examination for standard X and the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) Exam for standard XII.

The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) regulates the system of Intermediate education in Madhya Pradesh. Set up in 1965 under the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act, 1965, the MPBSE is an autonomous organization. Besides conduction secondary school annual examinations for classes X & XII, the board is also involved in recognizing new schools, inspection of the recognized schools as well as evaluation of their performance.
