Motorola's next handset is Moto E. The name is almost confirmed as the import and export database Zauba, which records all mobile shipment to India, has listed the device as arriving at Bangalore Air cargo on May 3.
Reputed tech website www.androidcentral.com has posted details of the Motorola Moto E consignment.
As per the listing, Moto E will come in three variants--single-SIM, dual SIM and dual-SIM version having digital TV.
On the specs front, the Moto E is said to come with 4GB internal storage with a micro-SD card slot. Rumours suggest that the Moto E will have a 4.3-inch 720p display. It will be powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and 1-GB RAM. Its camera is speculated to be 5-MP. Reports also suggest it will run on the latest Android version Kit Kat.
The Moto E comes close on the heels of Motorola's best-seller Moto G that was launched in India around two months ago. Within hours of the Moto G's launch on retail portal Flipkart, it went out of stocks. The Moto G starts at Rs.12,499.
After Moto G's huge success in India it would be interesting to note how consumers respond to the Moto E. The device might launch in India on May 13 as Motorola has sent out invites for a May 13 event
