Dwayne Smith, Man-of-the-Match: The ball came nicely to the bat. We just try to encourage each other. If something goes wrong, we tell each other that we can make up. It was a very good chase for us. All the guys are performing and it's a great team and we can go from strength to strength.
That's the end of this game. It's Mumbai Indians vs Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.
MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings captain: We played good cricket today but we gave away too many in the last few overs. The rain helped us and it made it difficult for the Daredevils to execute those yorkers. It was a par score and the extra rain made it easier for us. What's important is to back yourself to play the kind of shots you can play. Smith and McCullum do not try anything that is not in their armory. Raina also batted well and stayed till the end. We need to improve our bowling.
Kevin Pietersen, Delhi Daredevils captain: We lost a bit of momentum. I thought some of our boys played really well. Wayne Parnell bowled well and we tied them down in the middle overs. We held the game nicely but the rain sort of affected it. But there are no excuses. Nobody is here to blame anybody. If we can win one or two overs, we can win some games. Anyways we have to win most of the games from here.
Chennai Super Kings win by eight wickets. They never looked uncomfortable chasing a challenging 179, thanks to a solid opening stand between Dwayne Smith () and Brendon McCullum (32). The Super Kings were slowed down after a quick start but Smith continued to play the big shots and he found an able ally in Suresh Raina, who came out all guns blazing. The drizzle made it difficult for the bowlers to grip the ball but credit to the way the Super Kings batted, keeping their cool right through the innings.
